Kernel Build Problem

Kernel Build Problem

Post by Mike Lars » Wed, 19 Apr 1995 04:00:00

I am having an interesting problem when rebuilding my Linux kernel
1.2.1 on a 486DX-66.  This is what happens...

cd /usr/src/Linux-1.2.1
make config
make dep
make zlilo

It goes about 20 minutes and gets to compiling floppy.c.  At this
point, It ran over 18 hours and still didn't complete floppy.c so I
killed the rebuild.  Any suggestions are welcomed.

: cd /usr/src/Linux-1.2.1
: make config
: make dep

TRY A 'MAKE CLEAN' HERE. you never know, it may just help.
NOW JUST A 'MAKE'

: make zlilo
