AARRGH!!....Linux Fonts are killing me.

Two issues are bugging me

I continue to have a hell of a time getting fonts to display properly in
kde(or any x session)... I have added the 100dpi font line to xf86config and
that helped but there are still many windows that display fonts that  are
way too small to be of any use. For instance while I can adjust the font
size in konsole, if I open an xterm window the font is still too small.
Also, in Netscape, the font of many pages is either too large or too small
depending on how I have adjusted fonts in Preferences. and in all cases the
font of the address text entry box is always too small. Oh and then theres
the fact that the goddam Prefence box opens so big that you cant even see
the OK button. Sorry this is so long. I have several books which have been
little help.Anyone got an idea?

Thanks and Cheers, Kent

You need to read www.kegel.com/linux/tt.html plus the mini how-to
link (v.good)

1. AArrgh!!! Linux Standard Base!!

Hi!

I *really* hope I'm just confused about the LSB URL... Please tell me
it's not www.lsb.org!

That site gives me a load of apparently binary data, with the occasional
plaintext string from the MS world. It's all in a nice HTML page with
proper markup, so it's obviously deliberate... If this is the real LSB
site, they've been hacked - tell me it isn't true... :((
