I think you are referring to the CMD 640 PCI controller, and I don't
have that problem at least,(this board has a Triton chipset).
I re-seated all the simms and now the results have become more
consistant. It hangs with GPF's on package #2 every time now.
Part of the reason I bought a new MB was to get rid of a CMD
chip on the old one. Now I'm not so sure it was a good move, maybe
I should just buy a IDE controller and disable the on board
IDE, and go back to the old MB.
