hello.....
            ever since i had install red hat linux on my pc, i find that
the norton disk doctor
            on the win98 always promt the error saying "the partition
table contain invaild
            something, ....etc. " i had my hard disk partiton into
three, 1 is win98, another
            is linux (primary) and third is swap.
            there are two primary partition. izzit becaz of that?  pls
help me!!!

I'm pretty sure you can have up to four primary partitions. Did you use
dos fdisk to create the windows partition and linux fdisk to create the
linux native ones? This could produce the problems you're seeing

Hello, Rob.

What is the max partition for linux then? Just wornder.

Been always a windows user, understand that windows maybe able to
support to Z Drive. But not written proof that it cannot go beyond.

Please advice.

Its the BIOS problem, all PC will be restricted to 4 primary partitions but you
can always create an extended partition and from there, create a logical
partitions for each extended partitions.

1. Help..help...help... Newbie is clueless!!!

Does anyone know how to install a parallel version of the SyQuest Syjet
for Linux-Mandrake 6.0.  I have the hardware, I'd hate to not be able to
use it.  And I don't care to go back to windoze!

Now I'm quite new at this and in learning mode so if you could answer
step by step, I might have a chance of getting it working.  Also, if it
takes a specific mod/driver... please feel free to email me the file,
unless of course its in my distro.
