My machine has two NICs: Once is connected to a LAN (eth0) and the other to a
cable MODEM (eth1). I've configured eth1 to use DHCP and during boot it obtains
all the proper IP addresses.
If I run "nslookup" (with no parameters), I get:
Can't find server name for address DNS1: No response from server.
Can't find server name for address DNS2: No response from server.
Where "DNS1" and "DNS2" are the IP addresses for the primary and secondary DNS.
If I do: ping DNS1 or ping DNS2, I get "ping: sendto: Network is unreachable"
I know the values for "DNS1" and "DNS2" are correct, because when I examine them
under Win 98 it's the same values I see in /etc/resolv.conf and
/etc/dhcpc/resolv.conf.
If I use "ifconfig", I see that there is a valid IP attached to eth1. If I ping
that address, that works.
What is wrong with this? PLEASE HELP! Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
