1. fsck for windows 95 vfat file system ?

can anyone point to me where a version of fsck for the windows 95 vfat is
? when i boot linux 1.3.62 it puts me into single user mode because there
is no link to an fsck for the vfat files system. i can continue the boot
by logging out of single user mode but there must be an fsck utility for
this new fs !!

thanks,
