I'm trying to help a friend install Linux via FTP. Yes, he is on
a network. How do I find out what is the nearest Red Hat Mirror
to our location? I live in Toronto, Canada.

See <URL:http://www.redhat.com/mirrors.html> and go, not to the closest, but
to a mirror that's in a timezone that puts it somewhere between midnight and
8:00am at the time you want to use it.

Yes, I've read the mirrors.html file. In most cases you can't
tell where an FTP server is located just by looking at its
address.

1. Red Hat 7.1 - Installing Red Hat packages after Red Hat is already installed.

How can I install packages that I forgot to install with the Red Hat
7.1 installation?

Here's my problem:
Various pieces of Red Hat keep saying that I am missing a file and
that it needs to be installed with a certain package (namely most of
the Kontrol Panel).  But I have been unsuccessful at finding where
this is done.  I am still a newbie with Linux, but I would assume that
there should be an "Add/Remove Programs" equivalent with Linux.

Please help!
