Hello,
I have my modem link all set up and now I'm trying to get my diald
script to disable my call waiting. It's simply a matter of having diald
dial *70 and then dialing my servers number but I can't seem to make it
do that. What does the expect function call return when it sees a
dialtone? Could someone include an example of a diald script disabling
the call waiting?

I'm using diald (not sure of the version) to automatically set up my
ppp connection when needed. But I have call waiting. I don't want to
turn call waiting off. I may miss important calls. (They're more
important than that web page at least). Anyway what's happening is
this. The phone rings causing my modem to hang up. Diald realizes the
link is down "picks up" the line, realizes there's no dial tone and
hangs up, hanging up on whoever called. So my question is how do I
make diald stop hanging up on people. I.e. how do I make it pause when
it gets a RING?
