The Red Hat installation manual says that AMDK6 is not compatible with
Red Hat 5.1. Whenever I try to install Red Hat 5.1 on my AMDK6, it
freezes up and halts the system. Does anyone have a workaround for that

I would hazard a guess that your problems stem from
something else that you have not told us about.

This is weird. I'm using RH too, and I have a K6-266, but never got any
problem with that

Please don't say this around my AMD K6 300. It's running just fine and
cool at 68mhz (turbo mode on an Abit TX5) X 5 for a yield of 342mhz and
683.21 bogomips. :-)

Hello,
Anybody knows if Red Hat 5.1 works with AMDK6? The RedHat installation
hardware list says that it is compatible. Does anyone have a workaround
for that problem? I get unusual error messages when I try to install RH.
