If you could tell me how you got it running at the other resolutions, I'd
appreciate it! I'm using a Viper 330 on a Shuttle Hot-603 motherboard
with Red Hat 5.0. I cannot seem to get X running in any mode outside of a
default 320x200 graphics display. I'm using the XF86_SVGA server and a
17" monitor that I have the specs for. When I exit X, I can read the
messages it left on the tty screen - they basically call the Viper 330
chipset an unknown chipset, and that's what I think is forcing the server
to the 'generic vga' mode. During the X setup under xf86config, I do
select the Diamond Viper 330 as card 148, so it should be recognised by
the server. But I do not select a ramdac - did you select a ramdac during
your setup?
