Problem with P-ii on Dual Board

Hello,

I have a Dual Processor PC ( TYAN 1682 ) with 32 MB RAM, under Win 98 or

NT 4.0 it works fine, without  any problem but as i start Linux (SuSE
6.3 / Kernel 2.2.13) it goes to freeze, after some random time (for
example after 3 min.  some times after 20 min and so on) I have
thoroughly read the manual of Mother Board and of BIOS, (by the way,
BIOS is new, old was false flashed by me ) but I am still unable to
under stand the problem. Always next time during the Booting of Linux,
as default from Linux, as it runs "fsck" it says
"Drive was not cleanly unmounted Check Forced ...... Deleted inode
xxxxxx as zero dtime. FIXED", where xxxxx is a "inode-nummer, which is
always same, every time it do so and which i could never find, in the
Linux as long as it works.

My Computer has the following Hardware :

2 x 16 MB EDO ram
1 x S3 ViRG/DX Graphic card 2MB    [VGA-card]
1 x Hauppauge WinTV (BT 878)       [TV-card]
1 x Terratech DMX ( Canyon 3D)     [Sound card]
1 x Creative Sound Blaster AWE 64  [Sound card]
1 x 3Com 905/TX NIC                [Network card]
2 x P-II 300 MHz mit 66 FSB        [Processor]
1 x CD-ROM and Floppy
1 x Hard disk from conner with 425 MB space
on IDE channel 0 [master]

1 x Western Digital Hard disk with 2.1 GB space
on IDE channel 0 [Slave]

can suggest me, how should i configure my computer so that i can work in

linux  too ?

Regards
