Very Computer

On an IBM i Series laptop with Windows 98 installed, I am trying to
partition 1 Gb of free HD with fips and am getting the following error
message:

Error: Unknown file system: 0Fh

Before you buy.

If that 0Fh is the same type that Linux fdisk shows as type 'f', then it
is a Win95/98 extended (LBA) partion.  Strange that your FIPS does not
recognize this when it says it has FAT32 support.  But see below.

How many logical partitions are in your extended partition?  Are any of
them empty so they could be removed or made smaller with Win98 FDISK?

Type 4 and 6 are FAT16 types.  Doesn't this contradict the "FAT32
Support"?  Sounds like you need a newer FIPS version.
