I' trying to setup a Wyse 50 Terminal on one of the com ports of my Pc.
Before you start mailing and posting, I've read the serial howto word
for word. I set up the inittab and getty files, but when I do a kill -HUP
all I get on my terminal is ATZ. I know that this is the hayes command
for reset, but I can not get it do anything else. I've checked the
settings for the terminal itself but still no success. Could anyone
tell me where I'm going wrong or is there some extra configuration
needed. Oh and also I definitely have a proper Null Modem cable. Thanks

Chris,
You might look in /etc/inittab to see what device the "port" is.

Do you have it as a dialup, or a serial line?
