Boot with a DOS bootable diskette with fdisk.exe on it
        and run

                fdisk /mbr

to clean up the master boot record.

Sad to hear that you removed Linux, not Windoze. :-)

Linux is not for everyone, and given the nature of problems with so many
hardware devices and little productivity software it would not be
shocking to see a person simply concluding "it just ain't worth it."
All one has to do is read the hundreds of daily postings to this NG to
see Linux is far from perfect for anyone not having prior experience
with some form of UNIX or is unwilling to accept the possibility of
running into major problems just because they added a new or upgraded a
card in their machine.

at the c:\ prompt type fdisk /mbr

this will tell DOS to rewrite the boot sector.

then reboot.  That's it.

1. How do I remove Linux partitions w/o linux?

I inherited a computer that had Redhat Linux 6.1 installed.  I am trying
to get rid of Linux and install windows.  I have booted with my Win95 boot
disk and have run FDISK /MBR, which seems to have gotten rid of LILO;
however, I still can not get rid of the Linux partitions with FDISK.  I do
not have Linux to work with.

How can I repartition my Harddisk to DOS partitions without using Linux?
