What needs to be done to create new user accounts under linux? Is
there a command to do this? Or do I just have to modify a few files?
Thanks for your help,

Bye,

Try "man useradd". There you'll get all the information you need.Quote:>What needs to be done to create new user accounts under linux? Is

(DONT read these lines: I have to add them
because my nntp server doesn't allow
more included text than own text.

1. Problem? when creating new user account
When I go to create a new user on an HACMP system via "smit
cl_usergroup", all goes well until the users home directory is created.
Smit creates the home dir with the following permissions:
rwxr-sr-x
The SGID bit is what I am concerned with. Why does smit do this? Is it
an AIX thing? If you know how to fix this or can point at docs that
explain this, it would be appreciated.
