I really need help
After successfully installin ver 1.2.13 over the weekend and then spending
Monday and Tuesday fine-tuning it, as root I inadvertantly wiped out /bin
while cleaning up some directories. Is there a way to put this back after
logging in on the boot floppy?
If I am able to get back to a working system, I also need this question
answered - I made an addition to my path command and then echo'ed it back
to see it was what I wanted, and everything was ok. Problem was, the old
path returned when I logged in again later. I tried again, and got the
same results. I think I have the PATH from hell, and it won't go away.
I am using tcsh, and use this command:
set path = (/usr/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/X11/bin:/usr/openwin/bin .)
Any suggestions?
