orchid kelvin 64 in xf86? (cirrus logic 5434)

I have an old version of X (2.1 I think).  It doesn't support my orchid
kelvin 64 video card based on a cirrus logic 5434 chip set.  Does anyone
know if this card is supported in current versions of X (3.1?) and if so
what version was supported added? (I have access to another less older
version possibly).

1. Orchid Kelvin 64 / Cirrus Logic 5434?

I have been informed that the Orchid Kelvin 64 (2MB, PCI) graphics
card contains or is compatible with the Cirrus Logic 5434.
Is this true?  And if so, can I go out and buy the above Orchid card
with complete certainty that XFree86 3.1 (which I have read supports
the 5434 in accelerated mode) will work fine with it?
