I'm trying to install Slackware 2.2 (out of the back of the Linux
Unleashed book) onto a ThinkPad 360C. I've cleaned the disk off
and left a nominal DOS partition (10MB) on there and am trying to
use the BARE boot disk and the TTY144 root disk.
The boot works fine, then I get a message asking me to insert
ramdisk floppy and press Enter. According to the book I should
put in the root floppy at this point, so I do this. What then
happens to me is that I get the messages:
VFS: Disk change detected on device 2/28
VFS: insert root floppy and press ENTER
VFS: Disk change detected on device 2/28
Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 02:1c
Can anybody tell me what's going on here?
