EZPPP problem????

Post by Tim Whit » Fri, 21 Feb 1997 04:00:00

I just started using ezppp from
http://www.serv.net/~cameron/ezppp/index.html, cause it looked neat.

I got it working no problem, but the little clock under the connect
button doesn't do anything when I am connected or unconnected. I was
just wondering if anybody else experienced this?

I am using the statically linked version of beta7 on a P133/32MB Ram,
cardinal 33.6K modem, Linux 2.0.25, pppd 2.2.

Thanx in advance.
Tim

Same thing happens with my clock :-( The version I have is dinamically
linked to libqt.

I use EzPPP beta 6 staticly linked, and have ablsolutely
NO problems! and I have practically the same config.

Or you could also try xisp-1.2. Last time I looked it was still
in sunsite:/pub/Linux/Incoming. It uses your existing installation
of chat/pppd (easier to integrate to your existing system), provides
a window where chat output is displayed, has assigned IP address and
connect time redouts, supports up to 8 ISP accounts and maintains a
small ISP database. Version 1.3 which is coming out pretty soon,
supports automatic redialing of dropped connections.

1. ezppp problem

When I disconnect from my ISP with ezppp, and later try to reconnect,
the modem does dial.  If I then cancel, and again try to reconnect, it
dials and connects.  It does this every time without fail.

What should I look for?

Thanks,

Eric
