I don't know much about this subject, but keep in mind that you have a LCD
display (most propably, anyway), and that it propably won't be able to cope with
more than one or two specific modelines, due to the fact that it is a fixed dot
matrix. Comment every modeline, except those with your display's specific
resolutions, and see if it helps. I haven't been able to find any HOWTO's about
LCD's anywhere.

1. help: apmd on thinkpad 770

Has anyone had any luck with apmd settings for the thinkpad?  I've
recompiled kernels 2.0.33 and 2.0.34.  If kernel support is enabled,
it crashes on boot.  If it's disabled, the compter freezes when I try
to resume from suspend.  What am I missing?  Thanks...
