Having solved the unable to mount root filesystem problem, I am now
unable to boot 2.1.117. I select the correct image from the LILO prompt,
and get the following message:
LILO: linux-21
Loading linux-21......
Uncompressing linux-21.... Ok, now booting the kernel
At which point it immediately reboots the machine.
The funny thing is, it stopped doing that for a bit, but now started
again.
linux 2.0.34 boots fine, and both are on /dev/hda
lilo -v -q, for those interested:
