Hello,

I installed Linux Slackware 3.0 with kernel 1.2.13 and I get a strange problem
with a few programs. When I try to start Mosaic 2.6b1 I get
can't find library 'libXt.so.6'
But 'find' gives me
/usr/X11R6/lib/libXt.so.6
/usr/i486-linux/lib/libXt.so.6
/usr/X11R6/lib is on my path. Does anyone know what to do? I need to solve
this to get Mosiac and, more important, Open GL running. X seems to run A-OK,
exept for the xfilemanager.

The libraries may not be visible to the loader ld.so. There
is a file /etc/ld.so.conf I think, which describes where to
look for libraries. Try a man on that or on ld.so. I think
the command /sbin/ldconfig -v will tell you what is currently
being picked up. I'm no expert but I hope this helps.
