I want to put linux on an old (486 8Mram 33Mhz 170M harddisk) laptop
Can you guys give mee some good suggestions about which packages to install ?
Also about how to do a PLIP install whith R.H. 6.0 ?
**for the setup : i would like to use mailclient newsclient and linx
(+ftp,telnet,....)
i would also like to use Xwindows if possible

1. Compaq Contura Aero and PLIP
I am looking at purchasing the the above laptop
and I would like to know if anyone has found any
compatibility problems with the Aero's parallel
port and the PLIP drivers...
From what I have read about the Aero, the parallel
port is not an EPP standard parallel port. Is this
crucial for PLIP?
