Hi!

I want to change the switching sequence of the screen. Can anybody tell
me where I have to modify /etc/XF86Config in order to change the default
resolution?

The interesting lines in this file are the following:

Section "Screen"
    Driver      "accel"
    Device      "OlivCard"
    Monitor     "OlivMonitor"
    Subsection "Display"
        Depth       8
        Modes       "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480"
        ViewPort    0 0
        Virtual     1024 768
    EndSubsection

If you edit the mode line, e.g. to

        Modes       "640x480" "800x600" "1024x768"

You will have "640x480" as default
