Hi:

The following are the boot errors I am getting:

hdc : tray open or drive not ready

mount : wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hdc, or too many
mounted file systems

Thanks

I suspect you're trying to mount your CD-ROM in your /etc/fstab file.
Add the "noauto" option to the options (fourth) field of the appropriate
line in that file so that it won't be automatically mounted at bootup.

Hi Stefan

/dev/hdc is a cdrom drive, isn't it ?

I guess the system tries to mount the cdrom when no cd is in the tray.
Just change the line in /etc/fstab concerning /dev/hdc (replace 'default' by
'noauto') and it will work fine (if ever it is actually your problem, because
you don't give many informations).

Is hdc a cdrom drive?  Can you post the contents of your /etc/fstab file;
especially a line that includes /dev/hdc in it?

Thanks.
