Hi,
i'm trying to have X on my linux box. Using startx i'm having
fatal server error:
xf86Openconsole: Cannot find a free VT

I'm using Xfree86 ver 3.1.2 on linux 2.0.0 (Slackware) and i have only
4 getties running in /etc/inittab and even remouved the getties for
the serial lines.
Help !

Look at /etc/inittab and comment out some of your VC's then run init q.
I commented out gettys 5 and 6 in mine.
