I am also a user of Sympatico's ADSL service and will be installing
Linux for the first time very soon. I am very interested in
information to getting my ADSL connection working under Linux.

Basically? Just turn on DHCP. The shipped card is a Dlink 528 so use the
NE2KPCI driver. Over all I found the setup much easier then windows-) If you
need help on anything in particular drop a note in sympatico.hse  somebody
there should be able to help you.

FWIW I've setup it up with SuSE 5.3,6.0 and Redhat 5.2. I'm currently
running SuSE so I'm running on memory for Redhat.

1. Cannot use highspeed X25

Hi,

We're trying to add a 64kb line to an existing X25 setup on a somewhat
older Sparc running Solaris 2.5. The X25 version is 9.0 . The machine
contains an S-Bus based 4-port highspeed serial card (don't know the
exact name), two ports of which are in use by other protocols (such as
Brixton SNA). The device for that card appears to be /dev/sync. But we
cannot add this device to the X25 board config, and it isn't listed in
there either. This would be X25 link 1, link 0 is a 19.2 kb link on one
of the build-in serial ports.
How can we get the X25 to work with this card? Any ideas will be
greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Mat Nieuwenhoven
