We have a problem with our linux box, containing a Gigabyte DA-686DX
Mainboard and two PPro 200MHz. The system runs fine in single processor
mode, but is that dead slow when we are booting a SMP Kernel (e.g. 2.0.8
or 2.0.30). The boot messages are as follows:
<4>Intel MultiProcessor Specification v1.1
<4> Virtual Wire compatibility mode.

Does anybody have any idea what's going on??
Thanks in advance.
