I added a second hard drive to my Red Hat 7.2 server. Seems to be recognized
but how do I partition and add a mount point to it.

And mkfs and create a mount point for it and an entry in /etc/fstab.

See fdisk(8), mount(8) and fstab(5).

Maybe try cfdisk instead of fdisk as suggested by the other ops.
It's a little easier to deal with. You can do just as much damage with
it though, so check out the manuals first.

Here is something that could help you :)

1. Newbie Question: How to add a second hard drive?

I am trying to add a news hard drive (3GB Maxtor as secondary master).
I have heard the easiest way to do this is to run /stand/sysinstall.
However, when I do this I get a "No Harddrives" error message.
Could some one please give me a step by step example of how to do
this or point me to an FAQ. The info in the BSD FAQ doesn't work.
I get a device not configured when I run disklabel.

Thanks,

Dan
