Caldera with ATI Graphics Pro Turbo (mach64vt)

Hello,

I am trying to setup up Caldera's version of Linux and I run into problems when
I try to configure XFree86.  I launch the XF86Setup utility and type ALT-C to
specify the graphics card.  My graphics card is an ATI Graphics Pro Turbo PCI
(mach64vt) and I was relieved to find a selection for the ATI Graphics Pro
Turbo so I selected it.  But then the program says I need to install the
/usr/X11R6/bin/XF86_Mach64 file.  When I try to run startx, I get the error -
couldn't execute "/usr/X11R6/bin XF86_Mach64".

If somebody could help me I would greatly appreciated it.  My system is an  HP
Pavilion 8260 which is a Pentium II 266Mhz system.  I also have an HP monitor
Ultra VGA D1193.

Thanks in Advance,

Mike

When you setup the Linux system from the Caldera cdrom, there is a screen where
there are selections for video cards the default selection is VGA.  You selection
the ATi-Mach64 server. It will load with the other rpms from cdrom.  An other
method is to Mount the the Cdrom
                mount /mnt/cdrom
                cd  /mnt/cdrom/Packages/RPMS
                ls X*
then you use this command rpm -i <the rpm package to be installed>
it will list as Xfree*.rpm rpm -i lisa-0.1.rpm will install lisa -0.1
