I've got a new machine partitioned:
480M (win98 "os"),
1G,
64M,
3G (win98 programs),
3G (win98 data),
4G,
1.5G.
Win98 formatted all the partitions and is fully installed. A slow
process, I'd hate to redo it.
I'd like to install RH6.1.
The 6.1 install looks slick. It zooms along and gets to the drive
partition assignment, then it scares me. :o I don't want to reinstall
98. So I'd like to avoid a mistake.
It gives me a list of device/size/assignment for the partitions. Lots
of 'hdx, Fat32, mapping to '/something'.
How do I tell RH6.1 to leave the 480M and two 3G partitions alone?
Anybody familar with the 6.1 installer?
I was thinking the 1G would be /boot and /.
The 4G would be /usr and other junk. The 1.5G would be /home and other
junk.
Once that's done how do I tell Win98 to leave the other partitions
alone?
