Intel Pro 100 VE driver install help - newbie question

Post by Sam Pipe » Fri, 31 Aug 2001 12:55:12

Hi all -

I've purchased a Gateway machine that has the subject NIC installed in
it.  The dual-boot 98/linux (RH 7.0) install worked fine except that
the NIC was not identified.  I have the driver file from Intel for RH
7.0.  The card and cable are known good - tested in Win98.

Since this is my first linux install - how do I make the driver (in
tar.gz format) available for selection?

Thanks.
