Diamond Stealth 64 Screen Saver

Diamond Stealth 64 Screen Saver

Post by Griff Haml » Tue, 30 May 1995 04:00:00

Does anyone know how I can disable the screen saver on my Diamond
stealth 64 VRAM video card? I'm running Linux 1.1.18. After a few
minutes of inactivity, the card evidently blanks the monitor.
While blanked, none of the network services seem to work (for example,
no one on my Ethernet LAN can TELNET into this machine). This happens
whether or not I'm running the X server (Xfree86 3.1.1).

PS: I also have screen saver problems when running DOS on this machine.
After the screen saver kicks in, the keyboard becomes inoperative.

Any ideas on what's happening?
