RH 6.1 KPPP problems

RH 6.1 KPPP problems

Post by Walter E. Fle » Sun, 31 Dec 1899 09:00:00

All,
I installed redhat 6.1, and ever since I did, as logged in as a user
( not root ), when I click on kppp nothing happens. But, If I then pull
up a root window, and do a "ps -furoot", then I see 3 kppp processes
owned by root. If I 'kill -9' them then use my user login and try kppp
again, it works fine.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

1. Simple KPPP config: RH 6.1

Hi - when I upgraded to RH 6.1, I found KPPP demands the root
passoword. I previously had permissions set so my user account could
start kppp directly. Is there any way to change back to this with 6.1?
I tried changing permissions of pppd & kpp to no avail.
Thank you kindly................................................Steve,
