Installing Zip drive (SCSI)

Installing Zip drive (SCSI)

What is the process to get my Zip drive (SCSI model) to work in Linux?
My computer has a TI-1131 CardBus controller (a PCI device) and I have
an Adaptec SlimSCSI PCMCIA card.  I am using RH 5.0.

I have a notebook with TI-1131, APA1460A, and an ext. SCSI zip, and I
can use them. without any problem
under RedHat5.0.
**SCSI zip drive does not need any driver or configuration under linux.
It is just like a SCSI hard drive.
Are you sure that you have pcmcia support ? If not, you need to install
the pcmcia module yourself. Does any PCCard work under your linux? Which
SlimSCSI are you using?
If everey thing is fine, you should see your SCSI interrupts when you cat
/proc/interrupts.
Note that you may have interrupt conflict so that SCSI does not work. If
so, try only one card at a time.
Once Linux have found your devices, you can mount a zip disk. any where
you want
