1. Two obsolete old ISA SCSI cards with Red Hat 6.0
Hi!
I have two SCSI cards that I just can't get working on linux RH6.0
* Adaptec AVA-1502 (came with my Canon scanner)
* DTC 3181A (came out of nowhere..)
The machinens are on low budget so I really really would like to get these
cards to work and not having to buy new PCI cards for a Zip/scanner use...
I've tried the modprobe/insmod with all the right IRQ, I/O settings, but I
keep getting the annoying "/lib/modules/2.2.2/scsi/aha152x.o: init_module:
device or resource busy".
I've heard that recompiling the kernel with SCSI support for the AHA152x
module would help, but I don't know how to do this.
I would also like to know how I get these cards recognized by linux. I think
the problem is that the cards don't have an eeprom and are by that not seen
by linux...???
Also the DTC doesn't use IRQ at all...whatto do with this?
Thank you very much in advance!
PS. Reply to me personally rather than to the group 'coz I can read my
E-mail daily , but cannot visit the group too often...
