Yes. I tested this configuration in my home machine using a board I
borrowed from my work machine. It worked fine in my brief tests, but was
somewhat slow -- not surprising given that it's beta software. The next
release of XFree86 is likely to be faster.

>work reasonably well?
No. Or at least, not just to make it work. There may be some obscure
bugs that I didn't encounter but which would be of concern if you were
using the board for an extended period. I also don't know if any of the
patches might improve the board's speed. (FWIW, I got 163,353 xstones at
8 bpp and 92,908 xstones at 16 bpp, both with 1024x768, 70Hz. This is a
bit faster than the ET4000/W32p board I was replacing, which got 150,707
xstones at 8 bpp [no 16 bpp from the ET4000/W32p support in XFree86
3.2]. I ultimately got a Matrox Millennium, which is even slower than
this with XFree86 3.2, but it promises to be much faster with the next
revision; and in the meantime I get 356,867 or 224,031 xstones at 8 and
16 bpp, respectively, using the Metro-X server.)
