: I want to setup a series of machines with one machine authenticating users
: on all the machines on the network. This is really really easy to do with
: NT/95 and I am wondering how to go about doing it with Linux. (in
: particular, redhat 5.1)
: Bonus points are given if a 95/NT box can authenticate off it as well.
Take a look at kerbnet. It is an implementation of MIT's kerberos 5
authentication protocol. The tarball includes source for win95 and NT
clients, as well as UNIX. There's also a replacement for the NT login.
I don't know about 95 login though, probably not since authentication
on 95 is really a joke.
