Hello I'm running Mandrake 6.1 and am trying to install Star Office 5.1
When ever I run the Star Office installer it crashes X on me. Under
Mandrake 6.0 I was able to run Star Office fine.
Any help would be appreciated.

What's the exact error message X gives when it crashes?

Perhaps far fetched - perhaps not:

If Mandrake has XFree86-3.3.5 and you did an upgrade, you may need to
set up your graphics card again. I had a similar problem with SO5.1
after an upgrade of Xfree - turned out my XF86Config file wasn't quite
valid anymore - simply setting the proper card again fixed the whole
thing.

I was able to fix the problem by creating a brand new XF86Config file as
suggested by R.KAa. Thanks everyone for the help.
