I had a problem installing LILO from the Red Hat 3.0.3 cdrom. I was
installing to my second hard drive (1 gig EIDE). I followed the
instructions about entering hardware parameters in the Large-IDE.howto
but it still didn't work. It also didn't let me set the root password
but I can do that later.
My question is, how do I get to my Linux system? I made the boot
floppy and the two ramdisks from the cdrom but they automatically
start the install. From by brief experience with Slackware I remember
something about being able to make some floppies to boot Linux and be
able to get to your hard drive and work with it. Where do I get some
floppy images to let me get into my Linux system and try to install
LILO? I got the $7 cdrom distribution and I have two IDE hard drives
and an IDE cd-rom. No ethernet, no scsi. Please help me get to my
system!
