Yes, I can see why you don't recommend it. Try "-foreground white",
and "-background blue", it's easy on the eyes.

Can anyone tell my how to set the colors on my screen?
I am sure that is something simple that I am being A bonehead and missing but
it is driving me crazy.

1. How to make the background in cmdtool to be black and text white
When I start openwindows, and going to Command Tool, the background and
foreground of the window is white and black respectively.
How do I reverse it ie have BLACK background and WHITE foreground. This
will definitely reduce the glare.
