Invalid Argument during Select Partition screen

Invalid Argument during Select Partition screen

Post by Ronen Botze » Wed, 14 Oct 1998 04:00:00

Hi,

I'm getting the same error everytime I try to identify the RedHat folder
for the installer.  I have the RPMS and base folders sitting inside the
folder 'RedHat' at the root of a one-partition 4Gig HFS drive, which
the installer identifies as /dev/sda5  .
For Linux I have a second SCSI 1Gig drive that I already partitioned
as Apple_UNIX_SVR2:
120M for root (/dev/sdb5)
400M for usr  (/dev/sdb6)
260M for opt  (/dev/sdb7)
180M for home (/dev/sdb8)
50M  for swap (/dev/sdb9)

comps.pmac is in base.  And, I practically downloaded all possible RPMS
into my RPMS folder.
After I hit 'Done' I immediately get 'Invalid Argument' and the installer
returns to the Select Partition screen.

Does anyone know what the problem is?

Thanks,
Ronen.
