i was trying to set up 3 computers on a cable modem using one as a router.
first all 3 computers were working sucessfuly under windows 98 so i know 2
of the 3 work corectly and all wireing and hard ware does work properly all
computers are set up on subnet 255.255.255.0 and ip address of
125.0.0.(1,2,3) my linux box is set up on #2 the problem is i cant ping
125.0.0.2 from either 1 or 3 or cant ping 1 or 3 from # 2 im using a 3com
509b im thinking its in the linux configuration also could any gurus out
there let me know how to or point me to a how-to get it tolet the linux
computer use the windows 989 shared directorys and services. any help would
be greatly a apricieated.... thanks in advance
 
 
 

1. plz plz plz help.

it seems that i cannot get my eth0 to come up on my laptop. after reviewing
the boot log i can see that my pcmcia services are working fine and the
correct driver is installed
