can anyone help me with the installation of AccelX on a Redhat system.
I have the AccelX CD but that's it and I can't figure out how to
install.

Just mount the cd as /mnt/cdrom and run the Install script there. You
probably want to do a minimal installation. The program will attempt to
auto-detect your video card and it will want your name and product serial
number as it goes. I had problem with RH6 doing a full install since it
wants to load is apm daemon and I already had one going. The minimal
installation worked quite well on my Dell Inspiron 7000 laptop.
