Have you tried on IDE1 or IDE2 ?  If you've got only one disk, I don't think
you
can expect much of a performance boost anyway. My understanding is that the
average
transfer rate of the disk is much less than the bandwidth the board offers.
Make sure your RAID controller is enabled in your "normal" BIOS and take a
trip to
the RAID BIOS by pressing Ctrl+H and holding it down for a while when told
to.
It's there that you can choose the boot drive and set disk type seen by the
ATA100 controller.

Ta question a plus voir avec la configuration du BIOS qu'avec
l'installation de Linux.
As-tu essay sur IDE1 ou IDE2? Si tu n'as qu'un seul disque dur, ne
t'attends pas une
fulgurante amlioration en termes de performance. En moyenne, la vitesse de
transmission du disque est bien infrieure au 'bandwidth'
(comment ?a se dit? 'largeur de bande' ?) que t'offres la carte-mre.
Assure-toi que le
contr?leur ATA100RAID est activ travers ton BIOS normal. Fais un tour du
c?t du
BIOS du ATA100RAID en maintenant Ctrl+H presss quand cela t'est indiqu.
C'est l que tu configures ton disque 'boot' et les types de disques que tu
as.
