Ascend MAX 4002 and Linux PPP

Ascend MAX 4002 and Linux PPP

Post by Scott C. Villins » Sun, 15 Sep 1996 04:00:00

Has anybody been able to get a Linux machine using PPP to dial into an
Ascend MAX?  I am trying to get my Linux 1.2.13 machine to dial into a
Max 4002 and whenever I connect, I am prompted for a login password
(for the terminal server).  I know that we have tight security setup,
so I think that is why I get the initial password prompt.  Any
thoughts? Ideas?

Thanks,

Scott

1. ZoomAir 4000 or 4002 802.11 PCMCIA card support

Hi,

I read in the supported hardware list that the ZoomAir 4000 is
supported, and since a ZoomAir 4002 is the same thing only with an external
connector, i figured that'd be supported too. I am trying to make my netbsd
server into a wireless bridge, so i added an ISA->PCMCIA adapter, got it and
both PCMCIA slots recognized in dmesg:

pcic0 at isa0 port 0x3e0-0x3e1 iomem 0xd0000-0xdffff irq
pcic0: controller 0 (Intel 82365SL Revision 1) has sockets A and B
pcic0: controller 1 (Intel 82365SL Revision 1) has no sockets
pcmcia0 at pcic0 controller 0 socket 0
pcmcia1 at pcic0 controller 0 socket 1
isapnp0: read port 0x203
pcic0: controller 0 detecting irqs with mask 0xdeb8:..5..9
pcic0: using irq 5 for socket events

But I see nothing about the ZoomAir 4002 card.... perhaps it has a different
ID than the 4000 or something?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
