hi,
is there a way to use the middle mouse button to copy selected text?
Initially it works, but when i start a terminal in X, it doesn't.
Version = RH5.1 / 2.0.35
TIA, berend

If it's a console session - I would suspect that you are running GPM,
which provides you with mouse/console access. If this is the case you
will need to edit your xf86config to ensure that the mouse is setup
propertly. You MAY also have to stop gpm before going into X - I seem
to remember it causes(ed) some problems, but I may be wrong/out of date.

Check out the resource below - it got my Artec 3-button mouse
working properly. I'm confident it could help in your situation
as well.

1. middle mouse button on three button mice
does anyone have a functioning 3-button mouse with a "Chic" label on top
who can get the middle button te be recognised by gpm/X.
when the button is pressed. I don't know what else and will only
investigate if there is nothing I have missed to set it up.
Under gpm it functions on the newer pnp type, it sends a M on opening
the serial port.
If anyone can point me to a version of gpm which can use it I would be
grateful.
I do know how to get at the source and hack in the support if nessacary
but I don't want to unless I have to.
