Hi Gang,

I have a 9FX REALITY 332 video card from "Number Nine" and
17" Trinitron monitor. Is there a server for this kind of h/w?

I'm new to Linux. Please help!!

Good timing... the new version of XFree86 has come out with a driver
for this chip (s3Virge) you want version 3.2 of Xfree86 and the release
notes tells you how to install it. If you install 3.1.18 with vga16 mode
and upgrade from there it works (I did it yesterday!) Make sure you get
the version with the right libraries (probably Elf and not aout!)

I downloaded it from
ftp://src.doc.ic.ac.uk/packages/XFree86/3.2/binaries/Linux/ix86-Elf
but you should be able to get it from Http://www.Xfree86.org

p.s. do you have a driver for playing large .dat files (ie video movies)
because I didn't get one with my computer!
