Can't mnt fd0

Can't mnt fd0

Post by Don » Tue, 16 Sep 1997 04:00:00

        Hi,
Linux Red Hat 4.2, Because I have a Mach 64 video card I went and
got the patch and put it on floppy.  When a try to mnt fd0 I get the msg
bash: dir or file not found (or something similar to that.  When Linux
is booting I see in the list that Linux says something along the lines
of floppy=fd0.
Please can someone give a suggestion or two on how to mnt the floppy
so I can copy the patch file to get X running.  I can mnt the cdrom so
I'm entering the correct commands to mnt.  Maybe I need to put dos/win
support in the Kernel, now that sounds fun for a newbie ; ).  Hmmm, I
wonder if the public library has books on Linux, Yep that's what I'm
gonna do.  Please, if possible, send a courtesy copy of any reply to my
e-mail.  Thanks (sorry about the bot killer above, use the link below).
Sincerely,
