1. Keep getting these d**n kernal panic errors!
Hello everyone,
I have gotten lots of help from everyone and not one has help me with
me problem. Here is what I am getting as a kernal error.
[MSDOS FS Rel 12 FAT 0, check n, conv=b,uid=0,gid=0,umask=022,bmap]
[ms=0c0,cs=0,#f=0,fs=0,fl=0,ds=0,de=0,data=0,se=0,ts=0,ls=0]
Transaction block size = 512
Then comes us for UMSDOS which has the same messasage as above. I didn't set
this option when I compile it but this keeps coming up.
Lastly this comes up,
VFS:Unable to mount root fs on 03:02.
I noticed that the old kernal it check the disk drives before checking
other hardware componets. The new kernal doesn't check the hard drive until
all the hardware stuff is checked. Is that part of the problem? I'm just
getting frustrated with this problem. I have tried 1.2.X and 1.3.X kernals
and I still get the same errors. I am using a 1.08 Gig Western Digital drive,
0x586 Cyrix 120, and 8 meg of ram. Is there any hard drive problems with the
stuff I got. HELP ME!!!!!
Thanks,
Jose Torres
